2. Service Description
East Beach Appliance Service provides professional repair and maintenance services for washing machines and dryers, including but not limited to diagnostics, part replacement, installation, and preventive maintenance for all major brands and models.
2.1 Service Area
We provide services in Charlestown, RI and surrounding areas. Availability of services may vary based on location and technician availability.
2.2 Service Hours
Our regular service hours are published on our website. Service appointments outside regular hours may be available at additional cost. Emergency services may be subject to additional fees.
3. Service Appointments
3.1 Scheduling
Service appointments can be scheduled by phone at (401) 322-1171 or through our website. While we strive to accommodate same-day service requests, appointment availability depends on technician schedules and service volume.
3.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling
We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to $50. Repeated cancellations may affect future service availability.
3.3 Service Estimates
Our technicians will provide a cost estimate before performing any repairs. This estimate may be subject to change if additional issues are discovered during the repair process. Any significant changes to the estimated cost will be communicated to you for approval before proceeding.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Service Fees
Our service fees include a diagnostic fee and repair costs. The diagnostic fee covers the technician's visit and assessment of the appliance issue. This fee may be applied toward the cost of repairs if you proceed with our recommended service.
4.2 Parts and Labor
Repair costs include parts and labor. We use genuine or compatible replacement parts as appropriate for your appliance. Labor charges are calculated based on the complexity and duration of the repair.
4.3 Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept major credit cards, cash, and checks. For commercial clients, invoicing options may be available upon prior arrangement.
4.4 Late Payment
Invoices not paid within 30 days may be subject to a late payment fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law. Customer is responsible for any collection costs incurred in collecting delinquent accounts.
5. Warranty
5.1 Parts Warranty
Replacement parts are warranted against defects for 90 days from the date of service, unless otherwise specified. This warranty covers only the specific parts replaced during the service.
5.2 Labor Warranty
Our labor is warranted for 30 days from the date of service. This warranty covers only the specific work performed during the original service call.
5.3 Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover:
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or failure to follow manufacturer's instructions
- Issues unrelated to the original repair
- Damage caused by power surges, water damage, or acts of nature
- Normal wear and tear
- Repairs or modifications made by unauthorized persons

6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1 Access and Preparation
Customers must provide clear access to the appliance requiring service. Please remove any items blocking access to the appliance and ensure a safe working environment for our technicians.
6.2 Accurate Information
Customers must provide accurate information about the appliance make, model, symptoms, and any previous repairs. Failure to provide accurate information may affect diagnosis and repair outcomes.
6.3 Property Protection
While our technicians take reasonable precautions, customers are responsible for removing or protecting valuable or fragile items in the service area. We are not responsible for damage to items left in the service area.
7. Liability Limitations
7.1 Service Limitations
We reserve the right to refuse service if:
- The appliance is deemed unsafe or hazardous to repair
- The repair would violate manufacturer specifications or applicable codes
- The repair is not economically feasible compared to replacement
- The service environment is unsafe for our technicians
7.2 Damage Limitation
Our liability for any damages arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
7.3 Time Limitation
Any claim arising from our services must be filed within one year of the service date.
